You probably know that all your friends are using Facebook and Twitter. Facebook is the social network to join!.
It's easy to join Facebook.
Go to the home page
Enter your name and email address, your birth date and your gender, and make up a password (which you should be sure to write down!)
Once you've signed up, you'll be asked to start looking for "friends", who are people who will be able to see what you post, and whose posts you'll be able to read.
Once you're comfortable with Facebook, you may want to supply a few details about yourself in your profile so that Facebook can suggest more friends. Just click on "Edit profile" in the top left of your page.
Build a Facebook Page
Once you have a Facebook account it's easy to create your own page. Just click on Create Page on the left hand side of your Facebook account.
Facebook offers several choices of the type of page you want. Pick a type, fill in the relevant info and voila!
Once the page is created, it's easy to modify it
by uploading a picture for the top area.
Within the page, you can post info just as you do on your own Home page. Make sure to put in a link to your website.

It's also important to sign up for GooglePlus
- Go to the Google Plus signup page
- Fill in your name
- Choose an online name. This will also give you a free gmail account.
- Make up a password and type it into the two places provided
- Enter your birthday and your gender
- Type in the email address you currently use
- Type in the verification number in the box. If you can't read it, click on the little icon
- Upload a photo or just click next and you're in!
